DENISE MAIA

Denise's first deeper contact with photography took place in 1998, when she was studying Art History in San Diego (USA). His little Nikon then became his favorite companion on his travels to the four corners of the planet.

More than ten years passed, however, before she started to become a professional in the area. At Instituto Tomie Otake, professor Inaê Coutinho opened her eyes to a more playful and poetic photograph. Since then, Denise has enriched her photography with other perspectives. Juan Esteves, João Bittar, Marcelo Grecco, Gal Oppido, Iatã Canabrava, Gabriel Boieras and Lucas Lenci were some of the masters who shared their secrets with her.

"Photographing is, for me, a delicious game that makes me observe more closely everything around me."
